Thank you, Sarah. Looks to be the first on my 2024 reading list.
That looks great and I looked at your BSR, pretty darned good, woman! *Delight* And 4.6 stars? YEEHAW!!! *Laugh* You have a lot to be proud of! *Proud* Well done, for sure!!!

I also love that you included a bit from it in the description. I usually don't open the book, even if I can "look inside" unless it's non-fiction and I want to see the table of contents. I just buy it or not based on the cover, ratings, and description. But adding the bit from the book INTO the description, that was a great idea!

If things continue to go well, consider making an audiobook. *Bigsmile* I hear that's the fastest growing part of publishing now. Though it's not cheap. *Pthb* I think you're supposed to release them at the same time, but maybe not or maybe so, but it's not THAT important? Anyway, if you make another book, it's something to consider if you decide not to for this one. *Smile*

If you're interested in considering it, I recommend Findaway Voices. They publish on 30+ platforms for you, including Audible. If you publish through Audible, you do get more per book sold if you're through them and exclusive with them, but if you decide you want to put it out to other places (like libraries, for example), then you have to do all that legwork, yourself. *Pthb* With Findaway Voices, they do all the work for you. You just check the box for the platforms you want to publish to and they do the rest. I hear they are also cheaper than Audible, but I can't say that for sure. *Wink*

Anyway, well done! Congratulations!!! *Party*

One thing, I think I saw an error in your description? It says, "When Lady Rasburn offers to introduce him to his niece, he sees an easy solution to his problems." Maybe she really is his niece, but I assume that was meant to be "...introduce him to her niece..." *Think*
Feel free to delete the above comment when you're done checking the description...and this one. *Rolling*
*excited happy squeal*

*Bigsmile**Bigsmile**Bigsmile**Bigsmile**Bigsmile**Bigsmile*

I got my first review on my book (not counting my sisters, as honest and genuine as her words might have been).

*Star**Star**Star**Star**Star*

And a highly complimentary one at that!

"Choosing Joy: Paths We Choose (Sample)

I am still amazed people I don't know are not only paying money to read my book but actually enjoying it! I had someone message me asking if I was writing a sequel. It's one thing to have people on Writing.Com read it (love you guys AND this site) and give feedback, but to have someone pick it up with no expectation beyond enjoying a book and actually enjoying it is a whole other experience.

I am so happy for you.
That is really awesome! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I can't even get my tail in gear to finish something, let alone publish it AND make it into something good (obviously, not in that order *Laugh*). You should be very proud of yourself! WELL DONE!!! *Heart* *Heart* *Heart*

Enjoy the sample below, or download now with Amazon Kindle. The book is available with Kindle Unlimited as well:

THE HATCHER SISTERS LOST THEIR FATHER, their brother, their mother and their home. Now they live on the charity of aunts and uncles willing to take them in. So when Lady Rasburn, their aunt, introduces the sisters to Nicholas Green, her intentions are obvious. After all, who better to marry the man who now owns Oaksworth, their former home, than Juliet's eldest sister, Mary. Except, Mary wants nothing to do with the quiet countryside.

Juliet knows accepting Mr. Green's proposal would destroy her older sister's adventurous spirit, so she does what any caring sister would. She tries to tempt Mr. Green into offering for her instead.

NICHOLAS GREEN THOUGHT HE HAD LUCKED INTO a diamond in the rough when he purchased Oaksworth. Only a day's journey from his mills in Nottingham, the estate was everything he thought he'd need. Except, the county's residents are not so keen to welcome the man they see as responsible for ruining the lives of a beloved local family. When Lady Rasburn offers to introduce him to his niece, he sees an easy solution to his problems.

Mary Hatcher is everything the rumors suggested: beautiful and accomplished, any man would be proud to walk into a room with her on his arm. Yet, it is her sister his thoughts begin to dwell on.

But the choice of who to marry is only the beginning. Juliet and Nicholas both have their own pasts to grapple with before they can find happiness together.

Just over 12,000 words.

Approximately 4,000 of those written today.

Unfortunately, about half of those words might have made portions of the former 8000 words superfluous.

Oh well, that's a problem for December. *Pthb*

I'm right there with you. I figured out a great motivation for my characters to start their adventure, and it completely negates a scene I had planned three chapters later.

So here's to December - aka National Throw Out Half of What I Just Wrote Month.
6892/10000 words (how many SHOULD be done by the end of today, not the month's total)

Not terrible for getting a late start on NaNo this year. I probably won't catch up completely until this weekend.

But at least I'm writing!

Congratulations and great job! I'm super behind, myself. I'm at a grand total of 2080 and that's only because I had to so some sprints to avoid being kicked out of the sprinter's forum before I had the time to ACTUALLY sprint. lol

You got this! We both do! *Delight*
I'm officially at 4520 which is fine. I'm doing NaBloPoMo, instead of NaNoWriMo, and using my blog comments and adding other thoughts and posting daily. 20k is a reasonable goal for me considering I may have a couple distractions to deal with this month.

How will I tie 1. wanting to jump out the window and 2. scrubbing the bathroom floor with bleach with 3. the minimum of reading and commenting on three blogs? That's my goal for today.
Well, Kåre Enga in Udon Thani, if you do #1, there's just no getting around to doing #2 and #3, so I vote you take the expedient route and just skip #1 and go straight to #2, or maybe even #3. Definitely skip #1. *Bigsmile*
