If you would like reviews, there are a couple of things you can do:

*Starb* Go over on the left and click "Things to Do & Read" and select "Please Review." At the very bottom, you can list the item number of your writing that you want reviewed and a brief description and hit enter. This will put your item in a list for others to browse.

*Starb* You can also go into "Things to Do & Read" and select "Request A Review." This takes you to a list of hundreds of members whom you can specifically request to review your work. Take note that each member charges a certain amount of GPs for a review.

Hello! Welcome to Writing.com. My name is Patrick. Sometimes those of us on the site decide we need to personally welcome our newcomers, because this site can be quite overwhelming for those who are new. I know what you're thinking. I have very little space to give you all the advice about the site that you need, but here are some basics for you to start with:

*Suitcase* Upload some items into your portfolio so that others can review your work. If you don't have anything, this is great time to write something new!
*People* On the top-left side of your screen is a box of links that begins with "Things to Do and Read." Explore these links to see what's going on, for this is a very accessible gateway into our community. There are contests you can enter, activities to partake in, other items to read and review, people to chat with ... more things to do than you can imagine!
*Ribbonb* I highly recommend you look to enter some contests. This is a great way not only to improve, but also to make new friends and wade out into the community.
*Reading* Review the work of others. Be sure to look to "Guidelines To Great Reviewing"  for guidance on what is expected of reviewers on WDC.
