I'll still be somewhat active on here too, but I think Wattpad is more accesible for/to my work. I'm not forcing, I'm just suggesting and clarifying you all. | Guys, I just spent like, probably an hour editing my "Imaginative Villain: Zlaze" story, to make it look nice, and then when I was FINALLY done, my internet goes out, and now I have to do it all over again! The editing process will continue tomorrow lol. |
My heart goes out to you. That is hands-down the worst about writing on electronic devices. I once lost 8 hours worth of writing. It took me over a month to reconstruct it all. It was never the same.  |

If you were editing in that popup box for Quick Edit, I recently discovered a trick. Leave the box alone until you have connection again. When you do, in the upper left corner, there are 2 little images. I forget what they are, but they are small and unobtrusive. Click one of them...I think it was the lower one, but I could be wrong. One of them offers a dropdown box when clicked and that is something like Back. Click that and your work magically reappears!  Then be SURE you still have service and save.  |

| Howdy and welcome! Just so you know, when it comes time to post a link to anything in your portfolio, you'll use braces (not parentheses) and you'll use item or bitem (big item) links as follows. I'll use my challenge as an example.  {item:2109126}  "The Contest Challenge"  {bitem:2109126} 
The item number can be found on the item below the title and to the right a bit or in the web address. Also, if you've been working on it recently, it will automatically pop up after the colon, though if your wifi is slow, it can take a few seconds.  I encourage you to click Newsfeed on the left side (on a computer) and then click View the Community Newsfeed along the top so you can see what everyone is posting and get to know some folks.  I hope you love it here!  |
Welcome, and I would suggest trying out Jody's challenge. It involves entering a contest a month for a year, or more because she lets you catch up to the beginning. The prizes are so worth it and the sense of accomplishment is even better. It also gives you something to look forward to every month. You should try her contest too.

Thanks, Spring in my Sox!  Though my September round probably won't be much interest to newbies, but you should definitely check it out. You will write a WdC Will to leave your activities and/or GPs to another person. Also, you'll write a letter to your loved ones asking them to send SM (StoryMaster, the site owner) a copy of your death certificate so you can become a white case when the time comes. (Alison, your case color represents who you are within the community and when you pass away, if SM gets a copy of your death certificate, you can become a white case and be memorialized here. Your portfolio will forever be the membership level that it was at the time of your death.) I run my contest irregularly and you might not be interested in entering the September round, however, I give EVERYONE GPs (gift points) just for entering, then more if they win, so you can certainly enter if you would like. You can write a WdC Will leaving your GPs to another person or group on here and that will count. Then write a letter of instruction to your family and that will count as well. So, you can get 2 sets of GPs for entering in September. BTW, Spring in my Sox is pretty amazing, herself, and obviously is a helpful person to know. She's a real sweetheart as well. No obligation to do so, but it can be easier to find folks if you click their Plus Sign once or twice. If you click it once, you set them as a favorite and they go into your Favorites list. This is private. But their posts will begin appearing on your Personal Newsfeed. (Though I still highly recommend you getting on the Community Newsfeed. ) If you click it twice, you have Fanned them. Their posts will appear on your Personal Newsfeed as above, but they are now notified that you have become a fan and you appear on their Fans list and they appear on your list of people you have fanned. I recommend clicking it twice in most cases. No pressure to do so, but here are our Plus Signs, just in case you want to fan (or favorite, but I recommend fanning) us so you can find us more easily.
