Great day of playing with my writing stuff, especially a little self-publishing project I have almost ready to launch... exciting!!
Edited
So I'm a full-time mother and part-time school teacher... writing and thinking about writing bubble away in the background on a full-time basis, sucking up pieces of the world that are swimming around me all the time, filtering and puzzling how the different elements fit together for the next writing piece. During the school holidays the landscape of my writing feels so liberating, because there are few parameters limiting my obsession. A typical writing session begins around 10pm and concludes in the small hours - anywhere between 2 and 4am. After a regular 8 hours of sleep, I get up and spend a normal day of family activity. Then return to my desk when the family have retired to the Land of Nod. Works a treat! But we have returned to school term now, so there can be no late nights during the week and writing is pretty much restricted to my 'writing day' (one day each week) and Friday and/or Saturday evenings. On week nights my time is pretty much consumed with preparation and marking. It erodes any time I can spare to jump onto WDC... makes me sad.. but I will keep trying! That is my goal!!
Just wanted to drop by an give you another welcome to WdC! This is an exciting place indeed and I hope you find a warm and welcoming home here just as I did a few short months ago. There are TONS of activities and contests to work those creative muscles and if you ever need any help finding anything or learning the ropes, shoot me an email and I'll do what I can to help you out! *Smile* I promise you'll never get bored!
