I thought this was an excellent poem. My friend had a cat that recently passed away, and she put it in a box and buried it in a nearby wooded area. She still mourns her cats loss.

Hi, i liked this poem...especially the ending...for me the ending i sort of sensed that you might be talking about your own experience, which i could identify with on some level, because when you care about someone and spend a great deal of time with that person, well, it's hard to imagine what you would do without them suddenly.

I thought your choice of words was good...i particulary liked "Proof of life's history" and "A vein that runs through nature" There are a couple spelling errors in there upon closer examination...but, regardless, the poem is beautiful in my opinion.
