This is really good. I like how it transitions from the speculation that you assume "she" is mourning for a lost love, and it is revealed that she is mourning for a lost loved one, that she wishes could be there to see her get married. Its also touching that she believes that although her father can not be there phyiscally, she knows that he is there spritually. She needs to believe this so she can enjoy herself on her wedding day.

I like the surprise direction it goes in. I wasnt expecting that twist. I think that anyone who has been in love and then lost that love, can relate to how the speaker feels in this situation. When youve lost someone that you love that much, its hard to carry on without them, much less see them happy with somebody else. This is an issue that a lot of readers can identify with. This is good work!
I certainly hope this wasnt based on any actual event. Its point is obviously clear. It paints a vivid, and unmistakable picture that provokes strong emotions not only from the narrator, but the reader as well.This is subject matter that takes a lot of courage to speak of, and write about.
