Honestly, it sounds like you are doing what you like to do. My hope for you is that you don't let the expectations of society make you feel that how you are living is wrong. I hope that you don't spend even one minute second-guessing yourself and how you're living. If it works for you, then do it. Keep doing it. I assume you're an introvert, and if you are I feel that you are suffering from a world that seems to reward extroverts, caters to extroverts, as they are the "squeaky wheels" always getting and taking the attention, hogging conversations, going to the front of every line and wearing down the batteries of people who are more content to live a peaceful and blissfully quiet life. Be grateful for your flowers and fur babies, because they are all you need. Your recognition of them and how important they are is the secret to knowing what peace is.
