Review of Lost Kisses
Review by Bright Eyed Boy
Rated: E | (4.5)
This poem gives me a warm feeling, along with a longing at first. I can't quite explain the longing it makes me feel, but in short this makes me yearn for affection. At least for the first half I felt sincerity and the yearning for it, but the second half feels a bit lonely, speaking of a land of lost kisses it takes me in the complete opposite direction of the first half.

I really enjoy the feel of this poem, it makes me feel like a match in a windy room. The initial reading was like an igniting match, intense and sudden, but it doesn't take long for the heat to fade and that empty feeling fester.

The more you read it, the more it become somber, almost sobering. Taking it, and trying to put my own interpretation to it, I feel as though the author or whoever is telling this story has an unrequited love, knowing they don't feel the same they wonder if their love is wasted, where it goes if it isn't reciprocated. This lends into the lonely feeling you get afterwards, as whoever is telling this story feels like the love is wasted.

Good job! The poem is well done! The poems structure isn't tedious or hard to follow, it is to the point, but not too straight-forward so it leaves room for the readers to interpret it however they desire, which at the end of the day is something I enjoy. Word choice is an important factor when writing anything, and I want to say you did a good job, as it wasn't overly complex, archaic, or needlessly redundant. The word choice felt right, and it conveyed emotions to me just fine. Overall this was a pleasant experience, thank you.

Review of Pieces
Review by Bright Eyed Boy
Rated: ASR | (4.0)
The story left me feeling a little sad at the end. I wouldn't just say destroy it for the sake of it being destroyed but if I could grant a small request, it would be to release the blade from it's nightmare. This is definitely unique in its own way, with the story point of view being the main reason.

There are many uses for a knife, a lot of which would be utility, but this poor knife had its lot thrown in with many killers of different eras. You did a good job breathing life into the knife, giving it regret, and having it grow as the main character in the story. The character growth is present, but I would have loved to see more personification or at the very least something more that would've grown my attachment to the knife or made me feel more for the knife. The scene with the child finding the knife was a great idea, with the knife feeling proud of what it was, and I felt that my emotions were stirred by this, but my heart wasn't moved. If you had made the knife grow a bit more from there in the opposite direction of not wanting to exist, I am sure the fall back into despair would've had much more impact.

Overall, I really enjoyed the piece! I am not a professional, so from someone trying to learn to another I want you to know it was very good! I found it interesting and unique, so keep up the good work and continue writing! I look forward to seeing more of your work later down the line.

Review of The Ouija
Review by Bright Eyed Boy

This! This is brilliant. I have to hand it to you, this wasn't what I was expecting. I had to start at the top two, to three times before I saw what you put in the description, "A scary but humorous look at the monsters of 2009, 2010, 2011". I enjoyed this, thank you for your creativity!

For a more analytical review, the syntax confused me a bit on some of the phrases, but I was able to make it through all the way without any issues. I have an appreciation for satire, that can also double as a real fear factor. Politics are brought up from time to time in horror stories, but economics isn't as often touched by authors and artists. I feel they fall hand in hand from time to time. I appreciate the humorous and lighthearted nature of this piece, rather than the usual feeling of unease these topics usually leave with people. Good job! Keep on writing!
