I like it. Very insightful. I think every guy has been put into a situation, if not exactly like this, at least similar. I know I have.
Personally, I would have made it a bit longer, possibly with some twist at the end. You could go with the more obvious "him waking up next to her" or something a little more unconventional (can't think of something off the top of my head). It's a great direction to start with. Just develop a little more narrative to it, and you have a really good story.
