While I do not agree on every point in your poem, I will say that it is very well written. I do, however, agree on many things. I like the powerful word choice, and the ideas conveyed in this piece. I like the bold font for powerful words. I also think that the dollar signs on excess make a very strong statement. That was a very nice move on your part. The meter is a little choppy, but that seems to add to the statements being made. I'm glad that, no matter what your political stance, you are able to express your feelings so well. That's what this country was founded on... freedom. So write on!
That is a wonderful poem. That's something I often think about myself. I like your word choice. The ones you picked add to the sentiment behind them quite forcefully. I like that you are straight forward with what you're saying. Too many try to conceal the truth. It was also good to bring God into it. That makes it all the more powerful. This poem reminds me of George Orwell's writing because of the idea and the blatant criticism of society. Also, some of the lines reminded me of Dante's inferno. Great descriptions! You did a magnificent job!
