I really like this. It is a good reminder that we can't always see the things that we are doing or who we are effecting when we do things. It's also a good confidence reminder, saying that we don't need to doubt ourselves when we shoot for a great thing. This made me smile, too, because I love birds! :)
That was cool- the ending threw me for a loop, though. The part about the orange suiting him was an interesting addition there, because if your character was indeed a jailbird, then the man would have been destined for his orange! but really, good job.
This was a really good story. I liked the way you got all of your thoughts across so quickly, yet completely explained each and every one. The vivid rememberance of Sid's past experiences made me feel like I was in the story, on memory lane, with Sid Ellington. Great Job!
