Kim, this is a cute piece. I don't have any bird pets -- only a kitty -- so it was very informative to read. I also looked at her picture: cute, cute, cute! It's obvious you are in love with her! I can see why!

The main correction I noticed was that you accidentally wrote "break-grinding" instead of beak-grinding in paragraph #2. I did't know what it was and I had to read a little farther before I figured it out.

Christian, this is an awesome read! I became so engrossed that I truly forgot I was reading for a review. It seems like the end of a book (or the season finale of a TV show!), though. Was it? I know you said there were other installments. You write very well, and keep the reader constantly off-balance. You use the elements of surprise and suspense very well. To me, that's a great read! It's a little longer than a lot of the things I read on this site, so anyone who didn't like it either A) didn't want to give you time to develop your story line or B) doesn't like SciFi! Congratulations on a great piece!
