I really enjoyed your story and i kept me glued to the screen but... what is a quotal? A bat? a wolf? A half man and wolf? You made me go to Dictionary.com and Google - nothing. (I have dual nationality:American and Brazilian and maybe the 80% Brazilian in me finds difficulty in manywords and their "meanings" but quotal... hum. I wish you had written more... the last paragraph could have been longer, a real battle against evil and rightteousness, goodness but I guess you wanted it that way. Maybe a quotal was just a big bad but... why all the mysterious disappearances in town? See you you did to me (and maybe other readers)? I'm puzzled. Please tell me what's a quotal.
