This article really touched my soul. I often watch the news, seeing what is happening to our youth here in America. It breaks my heart to see the poor, and I'm including me here, go without any kind of assistance from our government, when they are helping other countries get essentials they need.
I am unemployed, my husband disabled. My check is $164/week. His check is $525/month. Due to this amount we are not eligible for food stamps or any other help. We have a child to take care of, but because they do not include vehicles as expenses, just luxuries, then our expenses do not go over our income. Where is OUR help from the government for OUR kids.
I know I got a little off topic, but I do agree tremendously with what you've written about protecting our youth. If I had the income, and housing, I've always wanted to take a child in that needed someone to show them someone does care.
Great article!
Wow! That was a sit on the edge of your chair, stare at the screen suspenseful short story.
It keeps the reader in suspense that is for sure. Even the very end is making you wonder, is he really dead or not?
The details in the story really makes the reader see what is happening. Very visual details.
Great, great work!
