I found this a bit confusing; at first I thought the girl was lost and freezing in the wild and a cat with yellow eyes was closing in on her. The car was a complete surprise.
I felt very sad that the girl seemed ready to die to be with her mother; that was very powerful.
Overall I like it, as I am personally drawn to sadness, and the way you expressed it worked for me.

I don't have any tips for improvement; I'm very new at this and have lots to learn.
