Very discriptive with a lot of feels, just a bit too short for me. I would have loved to have heard his answer to her question. I know he asnwered through action but women, including myself, like and need to hear the words. Silly isn't it?
Just my opinion.
This was very well written and very emotional. I enjoyed it greatly but some of your wording was a little off. This story was from the eyes/heart of an older dying man. I don't see him using works like "What is in vogue at the moment". I think a man especially of this mans age would not know or understand that term.
