Oooooh.... revenge. Nothing but the pure power of "nature" -- okay, "super-nature" brought that bad woman down. I've told people there's nothing better after a hard day of work than coming home and beating some sense into someone on paper!

Love how the co-worker asked if she pushed her in a puddle. Ha! Good Halloween story.

I think Elena's frankness is inspiring. I'm sure people don't understand -- because their brains are not wired that way.

As for the poem -- I like how it is kept simple, and straight to the point. I like the imagery of the black paint.

I like this poem because it captures all the moods of the season, from the young, to the wild, to the dead. Good job, Elena!

I'm rating this a 4 only because I think it could be beautifully expanded! Make it longer! I would love more sister scenes! Some little routines they get in that nobody else knows about, but that Kalena will treasure forever. Keep writing! *Smile*

This would be a really great story for older students to read when learning about this time period. It will make the history they read in text books more meaningful, because they can relate to Tommy in this story. This war was so different because people were fighting their neighbors, their family members. Elena's story brings that home on a personal level.
