Thank you for your excellent story, "The Flight Risk". You have many excellent qualities in your writing that make the reader want to stay with the story. The way you develop your characters, the "turn" in the story, your use of colorful adjectives and adverbs is refreshing.
I don't know if it's a true story or not, but it is very believable. The subject matter was particularly relevant to me as an aspiring writer, since I have also been a piano technician for 23 years. I have seen the kind of emotional attachment regarding a particular piano similar to what you have written about in many of my customers. I call it the "sentimental value" of a piano and it is very real. Often it is the only connection between generations.
