This is a very touching piece. I read it as you are longing for more time with the one you love, perhaps because they don't yet feel the same way or perhaps because time and/or circumstances don't allow them to be with you right now. I think that this piece will have different meaning for each individual reader.
My one critique would be in the fourth stance where you say "more precious to me than an oyster their pearl", this feels a little out of place to me as the others are related directly to a person. Just a thought.
