Nice, short and sweet! Only eight lines yet able to tell so much story and emotion. Well done!

Review of The Reaper

Such an awesome poem! Those final lines:

It's his duty to humanity
Just like living and dying
Is ours...

That sent a chill up my spine. It is a phrase that I've never heard before, but it was an excellent line. As though living and dying isn't just something that happens; it's our duty. I wonder what would happen if one were to stray from that path?

Thank you for sharing!

I like that quote. "The city center of the heart of their followers."--this is what I believe about communities. They exist within, not without.

Review of Dammit Friend
Review by J.S. Downing
Rated: E | (4.5)
I am sorry to hear about the falling out between you and your friend. That can be painful, but that pain and raw emotion can motivate a very empowering poem.

The way you refer to him and yourself as the exact same entity tells volumes about the nature of your friendship. May it serve you well as a catalyst of motivation.

Very emotionally appealing and well-written!

You know, in Canada we still prefer Tobogganing in a lot of places. I was definitely always the one egging the other kids on to stand up, or go backwards. Sadly, my brother was often the one to take the fall haha. Nice piece!

Interesting read!

It took me a minute to realize his inner dialogue(or was that his moral compass?). I am curious to see where it leads, and if it is indeed him talking to himself, a third party or entity, or perhaps the narrator himself.

Regardless it is a good hook with intriguing possibilities! Well done!

This is definitely the best poem I've read today! Very gritty, and I felt the futility you were trying to convey. Well done!

Lol! Good sense of humor. Very simple scene, but good practice nonetheless. You could start a snow witch anthology :)

Well written! I feel for you. Sometimes things must be broken or they will never change. One had to first break the marble that became the statue of David, or no one would have ever seen the beauty of the possibility within.

I like it! The parallels between the scene and your feelings are well illustrated. Very introspective - well done!
