Read this as this is someone you are in love with but not in a relationship with, or you are far apart from them.
When I started reading I got the impression I was reading a teens monologue, so I was quite surprised that it turned a bit domestic violence. Was wondering maybe if you changed your mind on the storyline halfway through. Or perhaps you didn't know how to make the start stronger. But I connected with the poem non the less.
