You got a great grasp and the action was good. You might want to switch up your words a bit. Like the use of the word 'energy' when it is in the context of magic. Force. Arcane. Natural forces. Power...etc. Repetitive use of words and phrasing can lose the reader. I for one don't want to get lost because I look forward to what happens next.
