Seeing her behave abnormal once again, the idea of her becoming a spirit comes in once again and he is moved to stab her, expecting the spirit to take its true form. He is disappointed to see that her lifeless body remained there. The author creates a very important suspense by not revealing what really happens at the end- if it was truly Olivia, Noah's daughter or a spirit. This makes various readers to have multiple thoughts and different conclusions.
