Review Style
I give accurate and detailed reviews. I emphasize the points that I liked and point out the aspects that could stand improving. But if I can't find something nice to say, I make it a point to say nothing at all.
I'm good at...
Well, courtesy of the obsessive traits that are inherent to my personality, I tend to be very meticulous. So I read very closely and I pay attention to both the writing style and the message that you are trying to convey.
Favorite Genres
I'd read almost anything and everything, but fantasy, comedy and psychology based writings are more up my alley. I also enjoy romance, cuz, you know, who doesn't.
Least Favorite Genres
Horror. I am definitely not a horror type of person.
Favorite Item Types
No favorites.
Least Favorite Item Types
None.
I will not review...
I will not review any item if I can't find at least one nice thing to say about it. I am a counselor, it's in our DNA to lead with the positive. So, no positive, no review.

Review of My Enemy
Rated: 13+ | (4.5)
This is very well written and with a highly potent message to boot.

On daily basis I work in a psychiatric facility and the way you've written this sums up how many of my clients feel. As a matter of fact I think it sums up how we all feel. It's the human condition, we are our own worst enemies. And to actually capture this, bring it to light, and expound on it in a few short lines is a remarkable feat indeed.

Nicely done.

I am glad I read this piece.

A lot of emotion is coming across and it makes the reader connect and feel involved.

I see a whole lot of potential in your writing. I particularly enjoyed the beautiful imagery in this piece.

The only advice that I have for you is to carefully revise because sometimes we end up missing some stuff. For example: "I feel guilty because could not hold you any more," has a missing I before "hold." Such small stuff can make a huge difference.

Very nicely done! I am looking forward to reading more from you.

Review of My pet
Rated: E | (5.0)
I was just passing through but I had to stop and say that I loved it.
As a pet owner myself I appreciate those feelings. I have cats though, and I just lost one of them to old age. He was such a good friend of mine. This made me enjoy your poem even more. It's such a great tribute to those little unsung bundles of joy.

Nicely done!

Review of Men of Dirt
Rated: E | (5.0)
All I can say is that this has been one of the most touching poems I read lately. Beautifully written and completely honest. I particularly enjoyed the last part. The dust analogy is really on point. Yes memories do linger, coating everything in our lives and we can never truly release those we lose. Many many thanks for this great read.

Hey there,

I am by no means as well versed in poetry as I need to be to give you a proper review, still I felt the need to say something here. The way you captured the feelings of being psychologically exhausted and strained all the time is truly amazing. And I could truly feel the impact that other people and their judgement and their unsolicited advice and fake concern have on a person in a situation like that. This is really inspiring. Such a great read.

Review of Dan's Magic
Rated: E | (5.0)
I have to say I randomly stumbled over here looking for a way to kill some time, but I was more than pleasantly surprised. Your writing style captured my attention really fast and I was hooked.

I also really enjoyed your attention to details. At some point I asked myself, "if he's so talented then why didn't he find his wife's murderer?" But you turned around and answered this question in details. And I have to say the whole "essence" deal sounds very interesting.

More importantly, I really appreciate your character development. From just this brief read I feel like I know a lot about your characters' lives and their motivation, which is a feat to accomplish.

And finally, the twists you threw near the end were really unexpected, especially with the disappearance of the detective.

Yup, I was definitely pleasantly surprised. If I have to give just one critique I would have to say that near the beginning I kept thinking that the "magician helping the police solve cases" plot line has been done many times before. But by the end I really didn't mind that, I appreciate your fresh and exciting take on it.

Thanks for a great read.

You definitely gave me some inspiration.
