This is really great. I absolutely love the imagery that's going on, although I can't quite exactly figure out who this "I" is. Good stuff. There is an error in third stanza, though. You say, "they ears," when I think you mean, "Their ears." You said that it was a dark poem, and while it seems to start out that way, it doesn't really seem all that dark to me at the end. Perhaps more sad and reflective with a tinge of regret. Anyway that's how I see it, although that may not be the way that it really is. Good stuff, though, again!
