Great story! Had a good laugh at the poor guys expense. I liked the build up of tension as the characters dilema increased. Being accident prone myself, I sure felt his pain! Not revealing the source of the noise left the reader to imagine all sorts of conclusions.

Great piece. As a true golnut, hence the moniker "Golfnut" I would have to give Tiger the number 1 spot on my own list. I was at the 2005 Masters and was sitting not 10 feet away from Tiger on the 16th green when he sank that famous chip shot from off the green. The roar from that shot is something I will NEVER forget. Also, you mentioned Jack Nicholas, well at the same Masters I was following Jack around all day and had the privlidge of shaking his hand and having a few words with him as he walked off the 18th green after he finished his last round played as a touring pro. Hell, I didn't wash my hands for a whole week after!!!!
