Hi Talinan!,

I applaud your efforts to practice what you preach. I think your pro-active attitude is a healthy one that can be very inspirational.

OKAY, Now for the critique! Your writing style is very nice and easily accessible. If you are looking to get published however, I would take a different approach. This column tells a great many things about your approach to natural living. Why not focus in on one specific thing and explain it in much better detail? You could write the same type of column just on growing potatoes organically. The next column could be on herbal remedies for a headache. Then you could write on different methods of composting.

Publishers are looking for ongoing columns that will keep people coming back for more. By focusing in on very specific aspects of organic living, you can keep coming up with great tips and fresh material. The column could be something like "Organic Living in the 21st Century," or perhaps something less cheezy.

Anyway, that's my two cent's worth. Good luck! I have an ongoing column that is published in a local city paper, but I'm trying to get it syndicated. I think I'd have better luck brushing a hungry lion's teeth, but I won't know until I try!

I definitely enjoyed this. The only criticism I would have is that I think someone would have to be a
"reader" to enjoy it. You can actually take that as a complement, as your article has a very literary quality to it. Most humorous writing seems to be geared toward a fifth grade reading level. Yours doesn't make me feel like I'm reading something dumbed down.

Anyway, I definitely enjoyed it, and laughed at several points. Thanks!

This was a well told story that I enjoyed a lot. I took one star off for the comedic effort though. I would rate the overall story as a 5.0, but the comedic element as a 3.0.

Ironically, if this hadn't been in the "Comedy" newsletter, I would have probably given it a 5.0. I was looking for something to make me belly laugh. Instead, I found a great story that made me smile.

You're a good storyteller.

Hi Sambo,

This piece was definitely cute, but could have been much funnier. I apologize for only 3 stars, but I am trying to be honest, and that is what I felt. It looks as if somebody else feels more strongly about it.

Keep going man! I'll check out some of your other stuff too.
