Wow! This was really interesting! You definitely kept my interest when you ended each segment with "obsolete". In my mind I was trying to guess what was going to happen. Before I read the ending, I was thinking that somehow the high-tech robots Mike designed would not be incinerated like they thought and would revolt, but this ending was amazing. Mike wanted to top himself each time, and his creation certainly was "higher" than all his other ones.
You had a few grammatical mistakes, but nothing major.
This was a great story!
