The first paragraphs felt a little disjointed, but after that the story became very enjoyable- and even touching! The characters were sympathethic and believable, and Raven's thoughts on Dimitri made me smile more than once. Somehow I knew from the start both of them were vampires; was that your intention?

Not sure I like the ending, but the story as a whole is well-written and held my interest from the very first paragraph.

I love this. The concept is really original and your writing superb. I particularly like the way the narrator recounts the story and his manner of speech, and the atmosphere is both engaging and full of nostalgia. Well done!
