great write. reminds me of the days I spent at my grandmothers. She lived in a small house out in the country with fields everywhere. and lots of animals too. some of them in and out of the house. Used to make my mother frantic. Nice to remember the good ole' days. excellent.
I keep hoping for more. It must go on. What happens to Winman after he reads the journal? Does it change him or does he remain the same in spite of it? Excellent write although the paragraphs seem long. Keep on writing.
Outstanding piece. Reading through it I too kept expecting Becky and Johnny to come through the door laughing their heads because they had tricked him. A very scary story like a short story from Stephen King. It what a piece like this should be, suspensefull and scary not gory.
