You've painted a piece of my peace. Being from the mountains I miss the solitude of fresh snow mornings, of birds that seem to share a song of worship. Your story is short, descriptive, metaphoric and to the point. Write on!

Review:
The discrepancy of the last sentence in the 1st paragraph and the 1st sentence in the second.
You say, "I cannot be bothered with waking just yet."
But in the next breath you say, "I close my eyes and dream of the mountains."

I'm thinking you're either asleep, or have awaken to go back to sleep and dream.

Hi everyone, I'm Jerri Noble, better known here as Jlady. I love writing. I'm a little shy about the novel I've written and finally finished. It's a story based on a very bad first marriage and loosely about others I've come into contact with that I've characterized throughout the book. My first book was a small book called "Big Mama and Me" which has been very good to me. I've tried my hand at poetry (which I love) and children books. I'm a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. I believe writing is healing so I founded a group called the Columbia Writers Alliance. It's a nonprofit group of writers who not only work to aid each other in writing but also to help homeless and at-risk children, as well as adults who are incarcerated. My first day here. I'd love to become a member of your community. My first 2 chapters are loaded up already. I'd love to hear your critiques. I'm reading your writings as well.
