I am a newbie poetry writer and reader, and I got lost in this poem. I love getting lost because it makes me think deeper about what what you’re trying to say. It’s really confusing for some reason but I LOVE IT. It’s truly personal and it has some emotional weight to it. Can’t wait this more than a few more times

I don't know what to say... That was very moving and powerful. And you did it with incredible imagery that was sad, semi-gorey, and lovely at the end. There were real mistakes in this one, besides the missing "e" in "eastern" in the 4th or 5th paragraph.
Fantastic. But I am a guy that loves "happy endings". It would be nice if you could drag out those lovely memories with the wife, as if the main character is thinking about her that much. Again, amazing!

I’m a newbie writer so sorry if this a newbie review!
In all honesty, from an amateur’s perspective, this should be put on a plaque or on a monument. I’m not one to reveal any real side in politics, but the way you wrote the poem makes it seem authentic(I can’t really my finger on it). It just seems that everything is just right: the length and the musicality of each line, and the tone fits the context perfectly.

Sorry if I’m not making any sense, or provide anything you can improve on because I think this poem is great. I just gave my honest opinion
