Review of Fragile
Review by Mistexdc
Rated: E | (4.5)
The frailty of human nature is sometimes hard to capture because we have to look beyond the surface, admit our own weakness while writing in strength, and not be consumed by the downward pull of it all. I think you did this all quite well. The metaphor of the reflection was very fitting, because the mood of ineptness comes and goes. The picture of the water stilling and then the return of clarity and centrality is the most simplest but also most accurate depiction of the human condition. That choice makes the whole piece credible and relevant and relative. The challenge would be to better depict time and stillness. To depict the now that we so seldom give heed. Great job!

It is good to know the history and he heart behind Writing.com. I have had a passion for writing for many years, since childhood really and have found a new home in writing.com. More accurately, I have found a home away from home. A place where the writer in me can flourish. Unlike Facebook, where hardly anyone speaks in complete sentences, Writing.com awards, instructs and encourages good writing techniques and expression.

I like the analogy of a city, it brings home the point that this is a community effort. We help each other to create good bodies of writing, through posts, reviews, comments, and ratings. Like a real city those who are citizens take pride in the reputation of the city and do their part to cause the city to continue to thrive.

Not long after joining Writing.com, I've been inspired to write everyday. If not on writing.com then in my offline journal. This article lets those who are new to writing.com know that they are not alone and that their craft is truly valued here. Thank you.
