A lot of times when I read pieces that come from prompts, I have this feeling of inauthenticity. I have a strong inclination to believe that writing (like any art form) comes from spontaneous inspiration and is often stifled when put under restriction. This piece definitely changed my thoughts on the topic.
Your sentence structure and style really give the impression that you are listening to a narration from a young girl who is trying to get a grasp on the world. There weren't many (if any) grammatical or spelling errors that I could find.
