I'm originally from the Mid-West now living in Florida, so now I do not get an Autumn, my favorite time of the year. This poem captures much of that "feel" we would get, the smell of the falling leaves, the chill of the breeze, and where I lived, the time of the Harvest and all the festivals that went along with it. Thank you for reminding me of all that which I now miss. Very well done!
This is a a great insight to peoples emotions and how just the smallest motion, the slightest inclination can hurt the most. To be able to express frustration without sounding angry here is very well done, a most poignant observation of experienc. This is one of the best portraits of when "People lie to themselves more than they do others, then try to convince others of that lie" I've read.
