Wow that tug of war between who we think we are and who we want to be. The person we project to put others at ease and the person we really are!
Great expression and it evokes a feeling of struggle to be the one we know we are meant to become...even if we are not quite there yet.
I liked this ...repetitive word useage which is perhaps intentional seems a bit more then needed to make your point. I hope I get to read more of your work. I could really relate to the "feeling" expressed here. Thanks for writing, keep it up.
