Very beautiful imagination and the really journey of home and life that is depicted in a few words is amazing and that touched me.
I loved the way you ended up and leaving the readers to imagine the rest and whats best for them.
Please watch out on the punctuation and Capitalising the start.
You could have brought in some rhyming words after the 3rd line onwards too to bring a flow in the writing.

I love this quote of Be like a lotus leaf ...something i recently learnt about the magnanimity of the lotus plant ..the leaf is in water but it doesn't get immersed in the water ...live life with complete involvement but not attaching ourselves to our joys and our sorrows...
I think even when sorrows and joys are there in life krishna says it to take it in the same equanimity and surrender to our higher self or in the divine himself
