Rest in peace, Fred. I was friends with an unfortunate "weird kid" in middle school. She suffered from severe autism and OCD. Still one of the most caring and unique individuals I know to this day. We could all benefit from a little more kindness. Good work on this piece. You have touched me.
I have a close friend who struggles with OCD. This isn't really a creative writing piece, but I did read the whole thing and I'm glad to have developed a better understanding of this illness, as well as to here you're doing better.
A piece that I as well as many can resonate with. I found myself comparing it to the effects and feelings that I felt when I suffered from depression. No interest in anything, and as you stated in the title, merely feeling empty. In addition, your use of language and grammar is simple and easy to follow. Nice work.
