Writing style - good (not a "blase" way) but it fits to what your character is trying to say. I don't think I could have said / told it better myself.

As far as content - BINGO! Change the gender and I can absolutely relate. Mind process, reasoning (and fear) are dead on. Wish I had the balls to "cut away" from my spouse as easily like your character. Your studies are paying off - if that's part of what you're trying to accomplish with your writing.

I'd like to see this in a longer piece - Where is she when she speaks this? Why did she get fired? What kind of job did she hold? Why does she feel "fucked-up"? Maybe a deeper glimpse of her husband.

It is good as it is, but it could be very good if "we" could see deeper into the character and her surroundings.
