I love this tale. Your perspective was perfect; I caught on to the character being a dog very quickly which is good as your perspective really reflects that. I always hear that dogs have a good sense of smell and when the fire broke out, you captured one of those miracle moments perfectly. The endingwas sad and heart pounding, but I like it still. good job and good luck in the contest.

I like it. I feel as if I'm a child in the living room in the kitchen wanting another bowl spaghetti as mom and dad argue. The tone is both frustrating and dramatic, "can't they see I am right here." my favorite line. I love how you personified the human senses. it really makes me feel I'm the kid caught between this fight . The way you ended this piece is both perfect and sad at the same time. For me, this ending is the child's realization that his parents will never get along and may eventually break up meaning the child will portable spend most of his young life in court. It's sad but that's how it usually ends in the real world. but don't let this comment discourage you, for I like it and you should continue your work.
