Hi, I gave your essay 4 stars, only because it needs a bit of touching up. It is well written, just pay a little more attention to spelling and punctuation.
Now, I hope you do not mind some advice. It's perfectly okay to be alone, if it is what you choose to be. Like you said, everyone is different, and some people enjoy being on their own, but a couple of things you said in your essay, makes me think that this is not of your choosing. People can be difficult to get along with, but there is somebody for everybody. Judging people before getting to know them isn't fair, and sounds as though it is the very thing you wish they would not do with you. When someone smiles, perhaps it is a genuine smile, it might just be that someone is befriending you, and trying to break through the wall you have built around yourself.
These days, I know it is difficult for people to be social, as people are on their phones and on social media, which presents people in a somewhat fabricated way. Please don't despair, there are very genuine, good people out there, as well, and I am sure you will meet friends that share your interests, and enjoy spending time with you. Everyone feels lonely and insecure at times, I always pray when I feel lonely, and that works for me. Maybe you could join a writing group, since you enjoy writing.
