Thank you so much for sharing this. I have always loved stories and some of my favorites as a kid were simple nonsense poems so when I started exploring putting pen to paper myself I found that even though most people prefer reading short stories and novels I felt most natural and comfortable writing the poetry I felt inside me. But as I grew I began to wonder if writing poetry was foolish for someone who wanted to be a published writer because no one around me read poetry except when school made us. Being reminded of the poets throughout the generations reminded me that I am not alone. This article helped me renew the poetry in my heart. Thank you for the comfort. Thank you for the confidence.
