Pretty cool concept. I like the way the story twisted its way around and he found himself on the oppisite side of the coin. There were a few parts that need to be worded a little better so the reader can flow along through the story. Over all its pretty sweet and after a little development i can be a great short story. Keep it up. And keep on writing.
Pretty cool story, I like the descriptions you used for the different monsters. As I read I could imagine watching this on the Sci Fi network or somthing. I like the way he grew up in the art of killing monsters. Maybe you could do a flash back or somthing and embelish on some of his battles with the monsters in more detail. Maybe pick like two that really gave him a run for his money you know.I think that would make your story pop. Keep up the good work.
This was a pretty cool story. It kept me reading so I could find out what the sound was. I have had a similiar experiance at one of my old residences. But I didnt cut the wall open or flood the place. It was interesting to see what this guy would go through to satisfy his curiosity. I though he was going to run acros some sort of ghost or maybe and strange animal living in the walls of his apartment. But I like the way it ended "all in his mind" thats classic. Keep up the good work.
I think this is a good idea to work with. Does he have a partner who helps him fight crime and is maybe drawn into the dark side of things and joins in the killing spree. Or maybe his partner if there is one will become suspicious of the officers succes and decides to dig a little deeper. When he finds out whats really going on he would do everything in his power to bring him down. But this would be difficult to do because the officer would have everything so carefully planned out. Just throwing some ideas at ya, I think it would be a great story or movie.
