Extraordinarily upsetting! I have nearly cried reading this story; as a matter of fact, I know people who have survived a cancer, and others who haven't. So it brings back painful memories, and apart from the young boy dead in Irak, this could have happened here in Europe as well. We all feel the same when cancer strikes young or older people. Thank you for writing so accurately about life.

Review of The Lesson
Review by Monique-Jeanne

It is not really important! We understand very well! You know I was really shocked when i read this; can it really happen? Such humiliation inflicted for nothing! My school was very strict, and I clearly remember having my calf cruelly pinched by a lady who wanted to check I wore stockings. Even so, nobody stuck us. But we were humiliated if we did something wrong. Times have changed these days....

Great! that story is really beautiful! What an imagination! he doesn't suffer, he only dreams his pleasant dreams for ever and ever.... Although he is a criminal, we feel sympathy for him, thanks to your talent§

Review of Burning

We feel compelled to read the story to the end, because such things still happen, somewhere in the world: hatred towards those who are different, who don't quite share the same faith; fanaticism at its worst. The need to find a scapegoat.
The story in the fist person enhances the dramatic intensity ans forces us to feel sorry for Bethany and her sister.
For me you are an excellent author!

Review of The Well
Review by Monique-Jeanne
Rated: E | (5.0)
That fascination for wells, I also felt it when I was a child and visited my grandmother's twin sister who lived in a farm. But men had sealed it and we could'nt even have a look inside. Frustrating! Your story is true to life and all along I have felt anxious about the little boy's fate; the father, too is true to life and quite used to his son's mischievous ways, I see. The three characters are so realistic that i can't help thinking you have lived through such an adventure! Either as the father, or even the braveTom!
