I can tell that thinking about your son or having to leave him behind is painful for you. I think you did a great job choosing the words that most parents want to know about their children, cherished, flourished and happy. All parents want these things for their children, if they can be with them or not. It must kill you to not know and to be far from him, if not by miles, by emotions. You have arranged the words in a powerful way to bring the reader into understanding how you feel, that your heart and soul are broken and gone do to the distance from your son.
