This is certainly something that I can relate to.

For quite sometime I thought that since I am the creator of the story, then I have to picture myself in the shoes of the characters, I am heavily dictating the protagonist's reactions and made him a shadow of myself.

Well, story is about the exploration of the unknown. Going towards uncharted places in our subconsciousness.

If the authors cannot take a back seat, then how can the readers do just that? Tag along with the journey?

People are the hardest to change.

Even oceanic rocks are eroded away faster than a person's change in behaviour.

This piece is certainly lacking some cohesion and the third paragraph is messed up, it could be a translation error, which ended up making a few places quite confusing.

But the general gist of the story is one have to consider the feelings of others, otherwise they might wish to do you harm.

One have to respect others, especially those close to them.

Otherwise, a friendship might turn sour, sometimes even deadly.

A human bitting a dog is something worth reporting.

Well, the media is broadcasting things that general public might taken an interest in.

Just imagining putting on a brave face, selling your sorrows for all to see.

The media gets their story, they got their fair share already.

However words might be extremely deceiving, they are constantly spinning a tale, with different arrangements they can incriminate everyone. upon scrupulous inspections, one might glimpse some illusory telltale signs of dissidence from seeming innocent pieces of writing.

Who dares to say they can shed light on everything, messages are always mixed, public opinions are the most difficult to predict.

There are trolls and intentional tricksters, people are sometimes hot-headed and sometimes easily agitated.

Review of Un Named Piece

From one generation to another, life goes on.

we had torn down the majestic old colosseum and used the brick and mortar in our own homes.

Nothing stays the same forever, as the technology keeps on advancing, changes is brought about nearly everyday.

Life goes on no matter what.

Review of I'm Sorry

"Yeah", I thought as I read the description of this writing, this is certainly no way to be in a relationship. if it is this kinds of connection it is certainly toxic.

People really should look after themselves and be aware if they have a manipulative partner.

Well, this is certainly hollow words but no one can tell what others how to live their designated lives.

Be mindful that the world is with its sharp edges, sometimes we do need to burst the bubbles.

This is a quite a unique little poem. The way the words are at play with each other.

It is not necessarily written in some sort of a logical format, as in beginning from childhood and ending in old age.

The connections between the stanzas are not as tight as it could be.

I just feels like my emotions are juggled about as I read this poem, as if I am not quite sure about the direction the words are going.

Review of Hope's Dawn

Some times success just lies behind the bend on the road. It is not that people are not talented, it is for the reason of them giving up prematurely along that they did not succeed in a project.

We should always remind ourselves that perseverance and the ability to withstand hardship is some of the best qualities that a person can have.

We should be a little bit more optimistic about life.

Review of I'll Do Better

This piece is engaging, I can just feel myself walking in the shoes of Helen, I am aware of her struggles and her worries and that really brought this character to life.

What I enjoyed the most in this writing is the narrative method, you really get a sense of what is happening and one feels close connection with the characters.

I particularly liked the confrontation between Helen and the doctor, the dialogues are well crafted.

Has this writing been turned into some sort of a published work yet?

Review of A Love So Divine
Review by Neilieu

Within this poem I can see a pair of love birds gently tending to each other's plumages, which is alluring.

After all, one way or another we would end up being with somebody, and the moments we shared together might just be the crowning moments of our lives.

I genuinely felt a warmth rising inside, as I pictured such a wise lady who is ever so tender and considerate.

Relationships can be quite demanding at times, draining those involved. But that is only a small fraction of the possible cons, we may derive so much out of a mutually-respect connection.

I sincerely wish that all lovers will be in such a loving relationship. If only, the world would be a much better place.

Review of Eternity

I once read a book with a phrase on the cover, "there are some doors meant no to be opened", something like that.

And I suppose this is one of those moments.

This short story is intriguing and left the reader wanting to know more about what happens next, perhaps that is up to our imaginations.

It is a fast paced short writing.

Everything comes with a cost, the point is are you willing to pay for it?

The first reading is a little bit confusing, sure I understood the general gist of the story, of the hardships Fred had undergone and how he finally learned his lesson and became a sorcerer.

At first I thought this might be a story of revenge and hatred, but I am glad that this is not the case.

I feels like I am reading some sort of an abstract philosophical writing and mantra, but I suppose there is depth to the words.

The characters are well developed and after a third reading I begun to enjoy the story even more.

In this piece we were introduced to a hog, who plays basketball and were given a few of his characteristic.

In the third paragraph we learned about the inciting incident, a new team member who is a fearsome predator, and this presence had dethroned the hog from the title of "Most Valued Player".

Then we were left wanting to read more about this mysterious figure in the dark ally.

Review of Walking Away
Review by Neilieu
Rated: E | (3.5)
The sorrows of love lost, the pain it caused in our hearts a literally shattering it.

As the distance between you grows, your times together begin to flash through your eyes. This is girl is no longer going to hold your hand, she will be someone else's sweat heart.

She could be the one, is she the one?

Confusing emotions, they are overwhelming your senses, making logical thinking impossible.

perhaps you wanted a release, be it at a bar drowning in booze, or running like there is no tomorrow on the beach, felling the sand crushing beneath your feet.

As the alcohol or fatigue consumes you, you wake up with a throbbing headache or with a tired body. You eventually realise that life goes on no matter what.

Life is all about choices and you make hundreds of them everyday. Though often times we might not be at liberty in making the choices that would fit our liking.

You got to cheer up somehow, perhaps thinking about those guys who had been together with hundred or thousands of girls?

Review of Passing the Test

Ok, I really hope you are not bolstering about your memory skills or you intelligence.

Well, there are a few ways where you can keep something written a secret. Using a coloured permanent pen, say the colour of orange, then you write down the things you wanted to remember on a pen with a transparent plastic shell.

The colour combination has to be just right, so the letters or equations you'd written on the shell of the pen can only be seen clearly at a certain angle.

While I am reading the second stanza, I inevitably thought about the poltergeists in cartoons. Their translucent bodies in different vibrant colours.

A lovely little poem, the rhyming is on point.

You can really read between the lines of the childish nature. The light-hearted interactions between a youngling and incorporeal beings that might have been conjured out of imaginations.

This poem might as well be describing a child's vivid dream, through his untainted eyes, we see things at its simplest form.
