I enjoyed this story, Wally. One does wonder whether a sentient machine would develop spirituality. I actually think not, but I like the idea for a story. No technical errors in your piece.

I liked the twist of the collision with the quantum string and how you gave the precise timing of the event. I also see how the computer decided to read the Brothers' entries and came to believe.

But what of the Kelos planet? I guess just the reason for the trip in the first place. Too bad (or maybe not?) Mat never drifted into Kelos space...
