Free verse is probably my favorite type of poetry.
It can be as structured or unstructured as you wish. I, personally, feel that with poetry, you can go anywhere. My siblings would suggest otherwise, for they express themselves with different pieces. I can tell that you put quite a bit of your personal encounters and feelings into this poem. Every poet does. I see nothing wrong with this poem, and i think it most definitely should be read by others.
Writing a poem and not knowing what its power is. I, myself like to write poetry. The truth of the matter is, most great poets never know they're great, because they're long gone by the time their poems take off. My siblings like to write stories, letters, among other things. I am the only one in my family who writes poetry. Being the only one writing poems in my family, i know the pain and misery poetry can bring, but as well as the happiness and joy it can bring as well. I really connected with this story because of my experience in poetry.
I thank you for this very poem. I have been trying to put this into words for a long time, but there is no need because you have done it for me.
