Having been born and raised in the Philippines, this chapter rings so true and familiar to me. I remember the day Mt Pinatubo erupted, delaying my own visit to my grandparents in San Francisco. I also remember visiting the refugees with my school choir to bring supplies and attempting to lighten their mood.

I can't wait to read the next chapter. Good luck!
