I'm the kind of person who'll take a lot of notes while reading a piece, so my reviews may sound a little academic by the end, but they'll always include my honest and immediate impressions, be they good or bad. I'll usually focus on the positives, with a few notes at the end about what could be improved.

This is an interesting piece, from the title which allows nothing in assumption to the shear depth of research that has clear contributed to it. There is a distinctive blend of historical facts with fantasy fiction that works to create a world that is both familiar and limitless with possibility.

The one downside is that this text comes across as very dense and difficult to navigate. It feels closer to reading a historical essay or review than a fictional novel. The main character, though interesting, is almost lost in the detail of the world that is provided. At the very least, double spacing and more frequent separation of paragraphs are needed to make this a more approachable read.

This is a beautiful piece that despite being written as prose has all the feeling in it of poetry. I love the imagery and the way we roll through waves of emotion rather than tread carefully through a chronological series of events. The message in it is all at once sad and inspiring and a joy to read.

On the down side it is a little roughly written and at times difficult to understand. I would like to see what you can accomplish if you were to find a writer who has been practicing for some time and work together to give you piece the polish it deserves.

All in all a very good early effort, with all the signs of some exciting things to come.

Review of Red Chicago

A funny first chapter that promises much in this possible noire-ish tale of private detectives, although the 'gorgeous gal with long legs' is yet to make an appearance.

The main character is engaging but this reader looks forward to getting to know him on a deeper level than what is offered in this chapter, to the extent that we know he hates Mondays and men who abuse women.

Very dramatic and suspenseful, this text teases at some interesting characters who as far as we know are about to be swept up into an exciting adventure purely by being in the wrong place at the right time. I look forward to reading further to see how this unusual opening blooms out into a daring adventure.

Review of Flight to Freedom
Review by Piccara
Rated: 13+ | (4.0)
Flight to freedom is a fast paced thriller full of vivid descriptions dramatic surprises. With no preamble asked nor given, the text opens straight in the heart of action that literally carries you along.

The only disappointment is it's surprisingly short length. Ou barely feel like you're getting to know our brave hero when his valiant struggle comes to an end.

A great quick and fun read.
